Meet the gang
Two nine-year-old twins and two very fluffy cats.
Avis
Careful and curious. He reads the sign before he goes through the gate, wants to know why, and keeps a spiral notebook with a pencil stub. He gets nervous first, then ends up the one who knows the answer. He wears a green hoodie and navy sneakers.
Mavis
Loud, fast and brave. She is first in the water and first up the trail, and she talks to animals like they can answer. Her purple backpack always has way too much in it. She wears a yellow daisy top and purple sneakers.
Charlie
One of the family’s two fluffy cats, with strong opinions and a look that says so.
Mouse
The other fluffy cat, usually found asleep somewhere it should not be, like a pumpkin bucket.
